National hunting & Fishing Day

West Virginian's love of the outdoors is so powerful, that we can't fit our Celebration into one day! Our event will be held at Stonewall Jackson Resort State Park on September 27-28, 2008. Seminars and demonstrations are scheduled throughout both days with many hands on activities for the experienced and not so experienced. Activities include Muzzleloader Public Shoot, D Archery Shoot, Public Youth Fishing, and many others. World renound longbow archer Byron Ferguson will showcase his skills again this year. We feature an Outdoor Youth Challenge for two age groups, 10-13 and 14-17. This Challenge focuses on outdoor skills and encourages youths to participate in the outdoors.
